Out of the three of them, surprisingly, Steve says ‘I love you’ the most. He says it to either one of them, or both at the same time, at any point of the day or in front of any of the other Avengers. He usually says it with a bright smile on his face and follows it with a quick kiss. Even though Steve says it often, Tony and Bruce know he means it every single time and love that he can wear his heart on his sleeve and has become so comfortable in their relationship.

When Tony says ‘I love you’, he normally says it to Steve and Bruce when the three of them are alone, but he has been known to make the odd public announcement as well. It often catches Tony by surprise when he says it because he’s realised that this the first time he’s said ‘I love you’ to anyone and truly meant it, let alone to love two people at the same time. He’s always awarded with kisses and smiles in return, which he also loves.

Bruce seems to say ‘I love you’ the least. But that’s because he normally whispers it into Steve and Tony’s ears in the dead of night whilst they’re sleeping. He says it when he feels the most peaceful and happy, and wants to tell the two men he loves that he is thankful to have them. Normally Steve and Tony sleep through it, and he simply watches how they react to his voice even in their sleep. Sometimes they hear him though and they always return those three little words immediately.

Okie Dokie, this is me, buckling down and getting to work on Chapter 2 of my Stark Spangled Banner fic. 

I’m just going to go ahead and apologise for how potentially awful it is going to be as I have never written Bucky in my life.

Summary: Steve, Bruce, and Tony are in happy domestic three way bliss. But is there trouble in paradise when Bucky is found, and for fucks sake can we please get some better villains because this is getting ridiculous. 

The light from the early morning sun seeped in through the blinds, illuminating Tony’s path through the living room as he finally made his way up to bed. The digital clock on the wall read 5:45am, meaning he only had fifteen minutes of cuddle time before Cap was up for his morning run and Bruce went to start breakfast. He wrinkled his nose, remembering how at the beginning of their relationship Bruce used to sneak back up here with him, toeing their way through discarded clothes and hoping against hope that Steve would not realize how long it had been since either of them had slept. But sadly enough, Bruce had been no match against Steve’s attempts at domesticating the two scientists. Tony hadn’t been either, but this was something he could never be broken of, and Steve had given up months ago. He had meant to go straight in, slip out of his shoes and crawl directly into bed. He had not expected to be caught off guard by the sight before him. Both men were on their sides, Bruce’s face mashed into the curve of Steve’s neck as the super soldier held him crushed against his chest, their legs tangled impossibly together. He wasn’t sure how long he stood in the doorway, watching the way the light refracted across Steve’s bare shoulder, how Bruce would occasionally snuffle closer to the other’s chest, marveling at the way Steve just dwarfed their other lover in an embrace that was nothing but possessive.
